My Approach

My motivation to pursue a legal career has always been to better serve innovators, entrepreneurs, and creative thinkers. Before law school, I worked in marketing for nonprofit theatre in New York. There, I realized that visionaries need strong advocates and advisors behind them to help lay solid foundations to protect and sustain their work. The goal of my legal career is to provide that support to my clients.

Graduating law school, I wanted to work at an organization that brings out and nurtures the best in me as a young professional. With our exceptional staff and client-focused, creative, and entrepreneurial values, there is no doubt in my mind that Richards Patent Law is the place for me to make an impact on the creative communities I want to serve.

My Background

Prior to joining Richards Patent Law, I earned a JD from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a BA in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard University. At Northwestern, I dedicated myself to studying intellectual property, entrepreneurship, and innovation. While in law school, I worked extensively with the Donald Pritzker Entrepreneurship Law Center on numerous trademark and contract matters and, additionally, was a research assistant in patent law.

My work has also taken me from working as a legal intern in Google’s in-house Discovery and Litigation departments, to being a legal intern at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, and to being a judicial extern in the Northern District of Illinois. A proud Northwestern alumnus, I keep my ties to the university by coaching their undergraduate mock trial team.
